Niamh trained at the media law firm, Finers Stephens Innocent (which went on to merge with Howard Kennedy); she qualified as a solicitor in 2012.
During her time at Finers she worked on a number of phone hacking cases brought by individuals against News Group Newspapers. These civil claims for voicemail interception, which were brought not only by well-known public/ celebrity figures but also by individuals who had been victims of crime, occurred at the same time as the Leveson Inquiry
Niamh also has considerable experience in medical professional negligence claims and regulatory matters.
Niamh continues to work on the phone hacking (voicemail interception) claims on behalf of litigants against both News Group Newspapers and Mirror Group Newspapers. She has also worked on a number of cases involving defamation, misuse of private information, harassment and copyright issues.
